AT A GLANCE
Tech Forward is a nonprofit organization that exposes marginalized communities to cloud and SAAS (software-as-a-service) based technologies and careers paths to help participants be more marketable, obtain higher-paying jobs and career opportunities
Tech Forward started in 2019 as HBCUforce with the idea to expose HBCU students to careers in the Salesforce ecosystem. 3 years later here is a snapshot of what we have accomplished so far!
HBCU Students have been exposed to Salesforce
Salesforce Trailhead badges have been earned
Career transitioners prepared for the Salesforce Admin Exam
Through the HBCU Forward Program, we partner with HBCU faculty and career services to introduce college students to SaaS (software as a service) technologies like Salesforce and the various career paths associated with these technologies.
Through the Community Forward Program, we establish and leverage relationships with schools and nonprofits servicing minority and underserved communities to equip those organizations with the resources, instructors, training, and guidance needed to introduce them to technologies and career opportunities.
The Forward into Tech Program works to clear the path to certification for minorities and individuals in underserved communities who are pursuing Salesforce, AWS, or other SaaS (software as a service) careers by providing cost-effective and flexible training programs.
Learners are exposed to Salesforce, Tableau or AWS via virtual, instructor led courses
Learners will be guided through the exploration of the various technology career paths
Learners are empowered to take and pass a Salesforce, AWS or Tableau Certification Exam and receive free exam vouchers.
Once students pass the exam, they are placed in internships to gain hands on experience that can be listed on their resume
Our students are extremely prepared to enter the workforce and we assist with finding them employment.
